Snell Manufacturing

Snell Manufacturing congratulates Brandon Redmond as the winner of the 2024 Person of the Year Award. This is the highest honor in the Snell Select program, granted to a single winner across all Snell Manufacturing companies.

Brandon Redmond is the Business Development Manager for American Tool and Die (ATD) in Swansea, SC. Redmond joined ATD in 2003 as part of the Tool and Die department. In 2021, a life-changing event led him to transition into his current role in business development.

Since joining the Sales team, he has devoted himself to learning and expanding his responsibilities, including becoming the voice of ATD on LinkedIn.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Redmond has served in the fire service since 1998 and is now the Assistant Chief at Wolfton Volunteer Fire Department. His personal life was equally eventful in 2024, as he married Melissa Baughman, also of ATD, blending their families to create a household with five sons.

Following Hurricane Helene, Redmond saw the devastation left in its wake and took swift action. He led supply-gathering efforts among ATD employees and the local community, organizing two trips to deliver essential donations to the hardest-hit areas in North Carolina. His leadership and compassion earned him a nomination for the High 5 Award for Community Minded in October, followed by the President’s Circle Award, and ultimately, the Person of the Year Award, voted on by employees across all Snell Manufacturing companies.

About the supply efforts, Brandon says:

“We made two trips to NC, along with some friends, for a total of five truck/trailer loads.

It was amazing to see people come together and donate anything they could—tents, blankets, propane, food, camping stoves, toiletries, animal food, and more! Anything you could think of! People made multiple trips to donate items they had collected from others. Some even donated money to help cover the cost of fuel. As heartbreaking as the situation was, it was also a heartwarming experience.”

The Snell Select program allows employees at each company to nominate coworkers who exemplify one of the five Core Values pillars: People First, Customer Focused, Community Minded, Environmentally Friendly, and Long-Term Oriented. This peer-nominated award begins within individual companies as a High 5 and culminates in a multi-company vote among all President’s Circle winners for the year.

Brandon was announced as the winner at the ATD Christmas Party and has won a trip for two to the U.S. destination of his choice. He and Melissa are excited about planning their adventure.

Congratulations, Brandon! Your initiative, connection to your community and coworkers, and commitment to Snell Manufacturing’s Core Values make you a shining example of excellence.
